Selfie game too strong.
this may have won.
she wins the internet. bless her.
I guess this is not the post to be saying this on (and I’m not attacking the person who posted the selfie) but: the comments afterward - “won” and “winning.” I never thought posting selfies/self-portraits were about “winning” some internet game, like who has the prettiest selfie, who has the most badass one, etc. I thought posting selfies was a counter-response to that. Posting personal selfies aren’t about one-upping each other. Selfies are personal, meant to show how you are, as you are, on a certain day and time, and can be taken for any number of reasons (I don’t consider photos taken by yourself with other people in them “selfies” but that’s another issue). It doesn’t have to be about being pretty and sexy always. The second we start making selfie-posting a competition, a game to be won, we’ve all lost. I understand if you want the internet’s approval, but I also see that as a slippery slope to post selfies that no longer please yourself but please other people. This reminds me of MySpace all over again and that was mostly the reason I deleted mine because people seemed like they were basing popularity on how great their selfies were and I thought it was ridiculous that I felt I had to pose or dress a certain way on the internet so I could become popular like that. I felt a lot better when I deleted it.
secondly … nobody asked you for that paltry ass shit you added to this photograph
