So I just got back last night from a brony convention in San Francisco. I was working a booth for a vendor friend, and let me tell you what happened:
We met a little girl who was there with her family….
While this story is really heart breaking and I do believe it, it kinda hurts that people can’t be under that category anymore…Brony i mean. I was by definition a brony, but I’ve come to not use it anymore due to the community. Or the ones that make it look bad.
I’m not gonna judge people for age, show preference, or appearance. I going on behavior. Some “bronies” are pretty darn horrible and I see no reason for them to call themselves that considering what they do. I love MLP for the most part. The show is hit and miss at times and the fan art can be kinda weird, but in the ORIGINAL meaning of the term, I’m a “Brony”. I like the show, as well as a lot of cartoons. Hell, I draw a crap ton of them. but I refuse to be judged with them anymore. Not even as “a grown man watching a show for little girls”. I mean in “As a person who enjoys MLP:FiM”
If you’re a brony at this very moment, please try to be a good person. If you’re around children, be appropriate for that environment. If you’re at a convention, be less….creepy and threatening to the community. And mostly, just be a decent human being. Regardless of what show fandom you’re in.
according to physics, nothing ever quite touches. when you lay your hand on something, there is a microscopic amount of space between the atoms of your hand and whatever you’re touching. so no, officer, technically i’m not jacking off right now
